Ready, Aim, FLIRT!

“Sometimes our
light goes out but is blown again into flame by an encounter with another human
being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this
inner light.”

~ Albert
Schweitzer

Did you know that flirting is a woman’s way to the life source? So says Mama Gena in her book Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts. She goes on to say that women are born to flirt – it’s in our DNA and that flirting eases communication, melts arguments and makes whatever you wish for come to you more smoothly. It is a simple and fun way to be at your most powerful.

So, do you have fun with flirting?  I never was much of a flirt myself, but that all changed after my divorce…I spread my wings a bit…I’Il share my experience with you and hope that you will take a few minutes to share yours with me…

It started with a man I like to call my very own “Mr. Big.” You know the type – the guy
that gives you the “tingles” all over. He’s strong, handsome and a little
unpredictable.

Licking my wounds after my relationship of 13 years crumbled
THIS was exciting. But I confess, I had no idea how to do the dating scene…flirt,
me? Yikes…

So I started asking myself, “How can I flirt in a fresh and
fun way? And the perfect opportunity presented – friends of mine were
sponsoring a treasure hunt at a museum in L.A. and my gal pal trainer suggested
I invite him.

But I knew I couldn’t send my “Mr. Big” the basic boring
invitation – oh no, it would have to be revised with an interesting
presentation full of mystery and intrigue. Something tempting that would entice
him out of his jam-packed cocooned life.

Holding that desire and intention I almost instantly
received the most divinely inspired vision, and as I put this surprise invitation
together I was filled with total bliss. I involved a few of my fab friends and
together we had a ball creating an incredibly fun and flirty invite.

I sent it off with a kiss and a prayer and thus began one of
the most important relationships of my life…

Having the courage to step outside of my comfort zone
brought three wonderful things to my life:

  1. Sparked a new romance
  2. Taught me a lot about myself and the value of stretching outside my comfort zone
  3. Bonding with my friends thru creative collaboration and hilarious laughter
